I DO - want to marry you!

Not you and I, that would be weird.

Hello!

I’m Em, your future celebrant.

I offer a fun, modern and creative approach to each ceremony, ensuring it captures the essence of your distinct personalities.

Whether you’re hopeless romantics, charming introverts or more extra than RuPaul’s Drag Race, I will ensure your ceremony is tailored to match your personal vibe.

No matter your origin or self-identification, love is love and it deserves to be celebrated.
I would be thrilled to play a part in telling your unique story.

Who even is she?

Before we get stuck into the ceremony process, let me give you the breakdown on yours truly.

Originally from the cultural capital #Qld I’m now based in Melbourne where I work as a celebrant and performer.

As a professional actor, writer, and MC - specialising in comedy and improv - I have gained extensive experience in the performing arts for over 15 years. And just like Kristen Wiig on SNL (“Don’t make me sing!”) I love to perform. But rest assured, your day is all about you. That being said, Moira Rose is ready to roll at any moment.

I also play the ukulele and we can either incorporate this into your ceremony or I can never mention it again (the latter is most common).

Why did I become a celebrant?

Quite simply, I love L O V E and I believe it deserves to be celebrated whether you sign that piece of paper or not. What started as a mild obsession with rom-coms has transformed into a rewarding career where I have the privilege of celebrating genuine love stories.

And I don’t mean the rom-coms that portray a sense of urgency, where the protagonist rushes through the streets to declare their love to their soulmate, rudely interrupts an event, and delivers a lengthy speech through a microphone when a simple phone call would have sufficed…I digress… watch About Time, it’ll change your life.

I believe weddings should be fun, charming, sprinkled with romance and have a packed dance floor (I once ruined my favourite outfit from knee sliding onto the D floor. It was awesome. I have no regrets).

But enough about me, let’s chat about your future ceremony…!
